9/8: Today was a day of golf at The Highlands, right next to our resort. Nice course, lots of hills and dales, fairly narrow fairways with evergreen woods in abundance, well maintained, tricky greens. We played with a nice couple from Toronto, so our “second serves” and ball kicks had to be clandestine or kept to a minimum. We played pretty well and greatly enjoyed our round. When we asked Liz and John what we should see in Toronto, they pondered the question and said the main attraction was the CP very tall tower! They were luke warm about the museums and architecture except for an early 19th century castle. The AAA book reflected their views, so we decided to skip the 3 hr. round trip to Toronto and look forward to places like Quebec, Boston, NYC, Philly..
